Just received from BDC environmental health :

Good Morning

I was notified last night that there were issues with the acidic scrubber at TTN.

There has been a pipe blow out in the ‘cabinet’ (which is the control centre for the scrubber).

This blow out is in the same location as the last time there was an issue.

The company have been in touch with a contractor and are hopeful to have this resolved today.

I was down at the site boundary around 1045 and the odour was horrendous. 5/5. Gut Wrenching.

Thankfully the odour is on the Road into the village, but this is only because of wind direction. Wind coming in from the South this morning but moving to the SW later on today.

I will update you when the pipe is repaired.

I’ll also update you when we identify the cause of the repeated blow out and I’ll let you know what measures are put in place to prevent this from happening again.
