Public Rights of Way
The Parish Council are working towards sourcing a new map which depicts the public rights of way in and around the village.
There are lot of different types of paths in the area; please find below an explanation of who can use the paths:
Footpath
Applies in England and Wales. Open to walkers only, marked with a yellow arrow.
Bridleway
Applies in England and Wales. Open to walkers, horse-riders and cyclists, marked with a blue arrow.
Restricted byway
Applies in England and Wales. Open to walkers, cyclists, horse-riders and horse-drawn vehicles, marked with a plum coloured arrow.
Byway open to all traffic (BOAT)
Applies in England and Wales. Open to walkers, cyclists, horse-riders, horse-drawn vehicles and motor vehicles, marked with a red arrow.
Permissive paths
Permissive paths are not rights of way but paths which an owner has given the public permission to use
The permission may be granted on a long-term basis but it can be withdrawn at any time
